    2. Remove the belt from the pulleys.
    3. Verify the pulleys and bushings on the motor and gearbox to ensure they are tight and aligned.  If they are not in line, please see the SS: Replacing Pulleys article for information on adjusting pulleys.
    4. Check Pulleys for alignment and damage.
    5. Document any damage and contact Spaceman if a pulley replacement is required.
    6. Install the new belt on the pulleys.  If the belt is too tight, loosen the spring tensioning bolts further until the belt easily installs on the pulley.  Ensure the belt is vertically aligned and make pulley adjustments, as necessary.
    7. Retention of the Motor Belt by ensuring the following: (a) Belt has +/- 0.5” of play. (b) Belts turn freely by hand and without noise or binding. (c) Motor amperage is not too high with no beater bar attached (220V unit = 1A) (110V unit =4A). Use the black wire on the Motor for testing. Loosen the belt if the amp draw is too high. Tighten the belt if the amp draw is too low.  Do NOT over-tighten belts.  This may cause overheating and damage to the motor or gearbox.
