Hopper Agitator Belts

Hopper Agitator Belts

Parts and Accessories :: Hopper Agitator Belts

Most Spaceman machines utilize a hopper agitator to keep product mixed inside the hopper.  The hopper agitator only runs when the hopper is actively cooling, and the hopper agitator is NOT intended to be used to mix product, only to keep pre-mixed product thoroughly mixed.  Product should always be thoroughly pre-mixed and pre-chilled prior to pouring into the machine.  For more information see the Soft Serve Best Practices or Frozen Beverage Best Practices articles.

The hopper agitator blades are magnetically driven via a belt-drive.  These hopper agitator belts will wear out over time and need to be replaced.  In 2021, Spaceman slightly altered the belt length on several belts to increase the belt longevity and reduce wear and tear.  New size belts are backwards compatible to older models..  The below chart is a guide to the correct belt size and part number for each model.  Please always refer to the correct parts list for your Model Configuration ID before ordering belts.

Note: When replacing a hopper agitator belt, it's useful to use a clothes hanger, or other piece of metal wire shaped as a hook to fish the belt onto the pulley.
