Purge and Prime Guidelines

Priming your machine is crucial to the machine's operation. Not following these directions will result in damage to the machine and its components.
If you have not already disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled the machine, please do so before continuing with the instructions below.

Frozen Beverage Purge and Prime Guide (Without an Air Tube)

1.      Start with a clean, lubricated machine.
2.      Pour no-rinse food-grade sanitizer into the hopper and put it in wash mode for 5-10 minutes (2 gallons per hopper).
3.      Empty the sanitizer and switch the machine off.
4.      Pour in about a gallon of product.
5.      Purge the rest of the sanitizer by pulling on the dispensing handle until a solid flow of product runs through. Release the dispensing handle.
6.      Pour in the rest of your product.
7.      Unscrew the priming plug. Notice the product in the cylinder will begin to rise. You want to screw the priming plug back in when the product rises to the Prime Line (the molding line on the dispensing door).
8.      Put the unit into freeze mode. In 8-10 minutes, it will be set to your set viscosity.
*Not allowing the product to fill to the prime line before freezing can lead to freeze-up and motor overloads.

Frozen Beverage with Air Tube Purge and Prime Guide

1.      Start with a clean, lubricated machine with the air tube removed.
2.      Pour no-rinse food-grade sanitizer into the hopper and put it in wash mode for 5-10 minutes (2 gallons per hopper). Dunk the air tube into the sanitizer water in the hopper.  (Do not touch the hopper agitator with the air tube)
8.      Install the metal air tube back into the bottom of the hopper ensuring the end with one hole is sticking up and out of your product.
9.      Put the unit into freeze mode. In 8-10 minutes, it will be set to your set viscosity.
*Not allowing the product to fill to the prime line before freezing can lead to freeze-up and motor overloads.
