Air Filter Cleaning

Introduction

Optionally, Spaceman machines come with a condenser coil cleanable air filter; this article will instruct on how to remove and clean this filter.

Notes
It is recommended this maintenance task be done every 1 - 3 months, frequency will depend on the machine environment.


Required Tools

  • None

Remove Air Filter

Remove your spaceman air filter by locating the opening where the filter slides in on the side of the machine and pulling on the tab sticking from the middle.



Wash Air Filter

Bring your air filter to the sink and wash out the debris until the filter is as transparent as possible, you may use dish soap to assist with getting hard to remove substances from the filter as needed, make sure all soap is washed out of filter if used. 




Shake The Air Filter Dry

Shake the air filter to remove any residual water and pat the air filter dry with your preferred towel or paper towel to ensure you do not leave excessive moisture on the filter when it is installed into the machine.




Install Air Filter 

Slide the air filter back into the machine opening, making sure it is fully seated while leaving the pull tab exposed and easy to grab for the next cleaning.
